George Hanus

Director

George Hanus joined the TWC Board in 2020 after an extensive career in international business working primarily with foreign investors to locate new offices and manufacturing facilities in Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area. He is now a consultant and member of several boards. He holds a B.Eng. (Mechanical) and an MBA in international business and marketing, both from McGill University.

As a writer himself, George believes strongly in the power of encouraging creativity in all people, regardless of ability. He knows writing offers a way for people to inform others of their lived experience and benefit from that process in a therapeutic way. He has published a dozen newspaper articles about travel in Europe, has written diaries over forty-two years, is currently editing his late mother’s diaries of 1937-1946. George also speaks English, French, German, Czech, and some Spanish.
