Laura first engaged with WCC as a volunteer facilitator in November 2020.

Professionally, Laura is a Stability Case Manager at a women’s emergency shelter and service provider in Toronto, where she provides housing stability and community integration support to women.

“I love facilitating WCC writing workshops! As a WCC facilitator, writing with groups of women at the agency, I have been able to connect with my clients on a deeper level, and it really has sparked my belief in the power of holding space to share stories with others. I have also gained confidence as a facilitator and in my own writing.”

Laura also loves music festivals and road trips, especially with her daughter and husband.
