Martin began facilitating with WCC in 2025 within his role, and in partnership with, East End CHC after finding a need in his community for seniors to share their voices. Working and volunteering for the community for more than a decade, Martin is a strong supporter of uplifting and advocating for voices that are often muted in our society.

Martin is also a freelance photographer and has a number of artistic projects that explore societal topics and cultures which are often seen as taboo. Martin often collaborates with other artists to bring a shared vision to life.

Martin urges everyone to include themselves in their list of best friends – “Think of yourself as your thumb. Your friends, your other fingers. You can touch each one of them, but you have to rely on yourself for inner strength”.
