National Gallery of Canada – Public – ON-SITE – Community Writing Workshops

May 31 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm ET
Join the Writers Collective of Canada for a creative-writing session. Connect with other writers while gathering inspiration from the light-filled work of Canadian artist Helen McNicoll.
When we write with others, we often discover ourselves. The Writers Collective of Canada (WCC) ignites connection by inspiring powerful, authentic stories, shared in community. One of WCC’s core beliefs is that everyone who writes is a writer, regardless of previous experience or education. All voices are welcome in a WCC workshop!
During each session, a WCC facilitator will offer writing prompts related to the art of Helen McNicoll to inspire creative expression and exploration.
Please bring the writing instruments of your choice (tablet or computer; or pencil and paper – no ink pens permitted).
This workshop will take place in English. A French workshop will be held at 1:00 p.m.
The workshop will be held in the Special Exhibitions Galleries (Level 2)
Free with admission. Drop-in activity. No registration needed.
American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation is available for NGC events and programs when requested a minimum of 10 business days in advance of the event. Email info@gallery.ca with the event name, date and time.
