WCC provides the following programs to complement our core work of delivering exploratory writing workshops in community.
Write On! Program Helps Writers Get Published
Dependent on sponsorship and program funding, the WCC amplifies unheard voices in a series of Write On! workshops. Mentors provide professional knowledge and expertise to help emerging authors hone their craft. The WCC publishes anthologies of these writers’ work, bringing their voices to the attention of the community.
Favourite Lines Tradition Highlights Magnificent Voices
Every day, WCC writers produce magnificent writing. A long-standing WCC tradition is to have each workshop participant choose one line they wrote that day to celebrate with the group at the end of a workshop. We also share many of these on our social media channels, with each writer’s permission.
Front Lines Anthologies Help Writers Publish
Dependent on program funding, WCC occasionally produces anthologies of its writers’ work. You can purchase Front Lines: Voices From the Toronto Writers Collective in our online store.
