Hasib first participated in WCC’s Write On workshop in 2021 and later became a volunteer facilitator in the summer of 2023.

A published poet and emerging novelist, Hasib Iftekhar is not only a purveyor of words but also a cultivator of literary talent. As a writing workshop facilitator based in the vibrant city of Toronto, he guides aspiring wordsmiths on their own journeys of self-discovery through the written word.

Reflecting on his workshop experience, he says: “The gentle act of empowering diverse voices and cherishing every individual narrative has been a deep experience for me. Through the writing, and connecting, I’m able to truly embrace the artistry of writer’s expression.”

Alongside his passion for writing and facilitating workshops, he indulges in his love for travel, bookstore perusing, museum visits, and a good cup of coffee.
