Jessie began facilitating WCC workshops in June 2024. Reflecting on her experience of writing community, Jessie shares that volunteering volunteering as a facilitator is the most fulfilling and inspiring part of her week. “Every time I get to write with others, I feel an overwhelming sense of connection. These workshops offer a space to be truly seen and heard. I am thrilled to hear people’s stories week after week, and to have a space to share my own.”

Raised in a small town, Jessie understands the importance of taking care of her community. Now living in Toronto, she is always finding ways to connect with others in the big city. Collaborating with organizations such as WCC allows Jessie to combine her two favourite things: community and storytelling.

When Jessie isn’t writing, you can find her by the waterfront, exploring nature, or reading a good book.
