Marijke first engaged with the WCC in 2019 as a writer and trained facilitator. She joined the staff team in 2022. Marijke loves forays into wilderness, trying her hands at textile arts, and swapping music recommendations. 

Between co-facilitating WCC workshops and creative writing classes for adult literacy learners, Marijke has always found ways to share her love for reading and writing. Now completing a Master’s degree in Adult Education and Community Development at OISE, she is excited to be a part of the WCC team as the organization continues to grow and foster new relationships with participants and partners.
