Michelle C. Ransom (she/her)
Toronto, Ontario
Michelle joined WCC as a volunteer facilitator in 2018 with the Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy.
Michelle appreciates the simple power of the WCC workshops to create self-awareness, reduce isolation, and build community. “The methodology of WCC is repeatable and effective – and robust through all sorts of volunteers and writers,” she shares. “What an incredible contribution – to create a space where people can be writers, first, then their other identities as they wish.”
With a background as a workshop designer and facilitator of adult education, Michelle has loved experiencing the power of the WCC prompt. Michelle describes that since discovering: “the impact a single prompt can make in someone’s self-confidence, I have deep respect and admiration for the careful and kind structures that WCC has put in place.”
