The WCC writing group demonstrates what is possible when we cross social borders to collaborate with and listen to groups who are usually ignored. It kindles moments… that can transcend the barriers that usually divide us. The writing group demonstrates a way to honour dignity that applied more broadly – in our workplaces, our government, our culture, and our communities, could reduce the need for places like Fred Victor.

In the [WCC] workshops, I felt moments of great connection with participants, as we wrote and read our stories, often crying, laughing, and nodding to each other in the process. Several moments stand out in my memory as particularly impactful when, from my perspective, participants felt understood and viewed their experiences in new, powerful, hope-filled ways.”
