Poetry has evolved from the domain of privileged classes to illuminate a kaleidoscope of voices. The League of Canadian Poets has declared April to be Poetry Month with a theme of “Joy”. In this month-long series of workshops, you will contemplate ideas about poetry and will be inspired by writing prompts from poets with a diverse range of lived experience. In trusted WCC fashion, you will explore your voice and hear and respond to other voices. Together, we will discover poetry and reflect on Joy.
