Why We Write
This inspiring chapbook celebrates what Writers Collective of Canada (WCC) has learned over ten years of delivering its innovative community writing workshops. Like the organization and its workshops, the book is structured around the WCC’s Six Essential Practices. Each chapter examines one practice, why it is essential, and how it achieves its desired impact. The story is told through a kaleidoscope of voices that include WCC writers, partners, volunteers, staff, researchers, and supporters.
Who is We 2023
A collection of the courageous writing presented on stage by their authors—writers from Writers Collective of Canada—at the Art of Time Ensemble’s WHO IS WE production at the Toronto Harbourfront Centre, May 2022.
Front Lines 2022
In 2021, 60 courageous emerging Canadian writers took part in Writers Collective of Canada’s Write On! mentorship program. Their work resulted in three anthologies on the themes of Hope, Courage, and Resilience. Front Lines: Courage features the poetry and prose of 38 of those writers. Be sure to check out Front Lines: Hope and Front Lines: Resilience for more powerful, authentic pieces from these magnificent writers.
