Nadja Lubiw-Hazard

Volunteer Facilitator

Nadja Lubiw-Hazard (she/her)
Toronto, ON

Nadja began facilitating with WCC in April 2020.

Passionate about both creative writing and facilitating, Nadja loves the energy and connection that lights up each WCC workshop. Nadja shares that her Friday afternoon virtual workshop is a “cherished time” for her, during which she feels calmer and lighter by the end of the session. “There truly is a magic to story-telling,” she shares.

Nadja is a writer, educator, and a veterinarian. A life-long animal lover and long-time advocate for them, she writes and teaches about our relationships with the more-than-human world. Nadja lives in Toronto with her wife, their two adult daughters, and a feisty, fluffy white cat.

Nadja is the author of adult novel The Nap-Away Motel, and the children’s chapter book Tizzy and Me: Fifteen Ways to Love a Mink. Discover more of her writing on her website here.
