Shirin Tobie-Paul (she/her)

Chapter Lead - Ottawa

Shirin fell in love with letters and their meanderings on their way to become words, on a tropical island. Her travels brought her to the Writers Collective of Canada. After attending one writing workshop with the WCC – then Toronto Writers Collective – at a local library, she knew that she wanted to create environments where the stories of others could settle, rest for a while or take flight.

When she isn’t actively co-facilitating, supporting Ottawa facilitators or welcoming new partners and writers, Shirin could be found writing, roaming bookstores, reading a book or napping in the sun. If you pick up a previously-loved book with sentences underlined or with notes in the margins, she has likely read that one.
